Edamame Makers is a small indie studio making quick, playful apps. Word King is our word-game arena: nine letters, thirty seconds, and one very smug word if you find it in time.

The game started with a simple question: what if a word puzzle felt more like a little arena? Every round gives you nine letters, a short clock, and the pressure to submit something better than the room.

It is built for quick checks during the day: one match, one daily puzzle, one attempt to climb a streak or unlock a new bit of profile style.

What we care about

Short sessions Games should be easy to start, easy to leave, and tempting enough to play one more time.
Readable screens Buttons, words, scores, and progress need to stay clear on real phones, not just in mockups.
Friendly competition Leaderboards and streaks are there to add a nudge, not turn a five-minute game into homework.
Small surprises Sounds, cosmetics, crowns, and tiny animations should make the game feel made by hand.
